New Weather Watcher Program

We are taking applications from viewers to become part of the New K8 Weather Watcher program. It will more "high-tech" than the weather watcher program of the past. With all of the technology that we have at our fingertips, the new weather watcher program will be more instantaneous!

Each weather watcher will have access to part of www.kait8.com and they will post their current conditions, rainfall, high/low temps, snowfall, and even DIGITAL pictures! Other viewers will be able to log on to the website to find out the weather for their particular area.

Each night, we will show a few of the weather watcher reports on air (along with the weather watcher's photo). We will also show digital weather pictures from our chosen weather watchers!

Not only will this help our daily weather reporting, but it will also help during severe weather events!

If you are interested in becoming part of this Weather Watcher Network, click here. This is a "volunteer" position, but it's a great service to your community! We will choose our volunteers in a couple of weeks. Each county will have 2-3 weather watchers.

I'm excited to launch this new program! I think it will be a great success!

Have a great night!
Ryan

I think I'd be good at that.

What age do you have to be? I have a 13 year old that would LOVE this. He was even on KAIT doing the morning weather, when he was 8, with Shane Carter, and the evening weather with Mark Frankum, back when they did color the weather. This would be right up his alley.
