All Systems Go

It's still not the "perfect" severe weather setup, but I'll probably be working tomorrow (Saturday). For those of you that watched the video last night, let me catch you up on the latest info... CAPE numbers look a little higher and helicity is still very high. You can see that in the screen capture of BUFKIT above. You can also see that we are highlighting the greatest risk to be tomorrow afternoon into early evening. I think the worse weather will arrive in Jonesboro between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Stay tuned!

If you combine the CAPE and helicity numbers, you can calculate the EHI. The map below shows the EHI for tomorrow evening. The threat definitely exist here, but the threat is greater to our south. SPC agrees with this analysis too. Here are their thoughts.
One last thing... I went to the Memphis Zoo today with the family and I will share stories after this storm passes. The pictures are cool!

Oh... another thing... We are going to try to show LIVE video from the Wood Ford StormTRACKER as it chases the storms tomorrow. Hopefully it works as expected! Stay tuned!

Take care,
Ryan

I haven't been to the Memphis Zoo in years. Sounds like a fun trip!

Now, I'm going to be really nosy *grin* and ask if you hit Wallyworld before you left town because my mom was fairly sure she saw you there. :)
