In the above picture, you have a Japanese Magnolia blooming and a missing house. The stairs are still there, but the house was destroyed last April.
The town is really starting to bounce back. We plan on doing a special show on the anniversary, to show how well Marmaduke and Caruthersville have recovered.
Today we all ate lunch at Julie's Cafe. It was awesome! I had the best burger and corn nuggets ever! I plan on eating there a few more times of the next couple of weeks.
Have a great day!

Your picture is sad and inspiring at the same time. I remember noticing that the only symblance of life in the footage from Katrina-ravaged neighborhoods were the big old trees that weathered the storm. When there's nothing else left to recognize, I bet a person's favorite old tree is a comforting thing to see living on.
Ryan, do you know when the special will air yet? We're all anxious to see it. :)
It will air at 6:30pm on April 2.
