Landspouts

Larry Lingle of the Valley View Fire Department took this picture of a landspout in Craighead County this evening. A landspout is something in-between a dust devil and a mini tornado. Click here for more info on landspouts.

Despite it looking scary, it really was not a threat. We had no reports of the funnel "touching down", but even if it did... winds would not be more than 50 mph or so. That is why there was no warning issued and that is why we did not cut-in to regular programming.
