The HPC agrees with us... it looks soggy! They are estimating over 4" of rain to fall across Region 8 over the next 5 days! I think most of this rain will fall Saturday and Monday. This could mess up some plans for those of us that are going to be at tailgate parties and games on Saturday! I'm going to to look over some more data tonight and I hope to post more on this rainfall later... You folks in Alabama are going to missing a lot of the rain.... sorry.
Have a great night!

It does look very wet, they are talking about maybe a little severe weather too early next week. What do you think ?
Ryan, Has sog been re-defined to almost sprinkle?
5:51 Anonymous... Parts of viewing area have seen over 4" of rain already. There is a Flash Flood Watch for some folks. The force-field must be over your house! :)
I've lived here since 2003 and since that time we've had two very memorable short-term rainfall totals (both over 4-6" in a short time). Both times they were in September and both times they were basically unexpected atmospheric anomalies. On the other hand, we've had several other occasions where similar amounts of rain were predicted and we ended up getting less than half of the predicted amount. So ... ... ... ... I will be sure to send photos of the class-4 whitewater going across our "wet weather bridges" if we get the predicted amount! :D
As of right now there is alot of folks that haven't seen much rain at all...esp. not as much that has been advertised. I think all that will change today around 2 or 3 o'clock. Once it starts this afternoon, it may not stop for 8-12 hours. The way it looks everyone will see aroun 1-2 inches of rain by this time Sunday. I'll keep my figures crossed.
