Well the latest upper level plots out of Memphis show a pocket of warmer air aloft. Weather.com says the temperature in Jonesboro is 32 with a big blob of moisture over Central AR. You have got to wonder about some pretty substantial freezing rain accumulations in you alls neck of the woods.

Heavy, heavy snow here. It's been going strong for less than an hour and we already have over 1" accumulation. I'm off to get photos! Friends in Mountain Home reported 2" an hour ago.

Good Morning Ryan,
Nothing but rain here in Caraway, AR. It is currently 33 degrees here as well. I'm not a happy camper right now. LOL. Have a great day.

This is the heaviest snowfall I've seen in AR. Dec. 26th was a major day as far as flake-size (it was really more like clusters), but this is far surpassing that. I'm almost expecting thunder snow. We're working on 3" since about 8:30 this morning.

The nicest thing about this is that it's happening during day-light hours. Almost every other time it's been a night-time event, where we'd go to bed with it just starting & wake up with 3+ inches. It's awesome!

BE CAREFUL out there! A friend just called me & actually wrecked while I was talking to them. The person is fine -- the car went off the road -- but it was scary to hear "Oh no, I'm about to wreck..." and then all kinds of thumping sounds in the background. (No cell phones while driving!!!)

Good Afternoon Ryan,
Well, they let School out here in Caraway at 11:30a.m. We had some rain, sleet, and snow. It's mostly rain now at 11:55a.m. Is there anymore than this in store for us here in Caraway? Have a great day and be careful.
