11:00 AM Update


Latest data is in and it still suggest some ice. In Jonesboro, we may have a some periods when the temperatures are above freezing, but it will be really close. The latest NAM data suggest about 0.50" of ice in places. If we do not see the temperatures warm up, we could get more. Areas to the north and northwest will likely stay below freezing and will see more ice.

Using the Cobb Algorithm, we could see as much as 0.60" of ice (total highlighted in blue) in Jonesboro. It also shows a brief change to just rain (highlighted in green). In case you do not know, a half inch of ice would not be good for power lines.

Our weather around here is starting to be like Florida weather, if you don't like the weather your having right now, just wait 5 minutes and it will change.
