Thu, 9:00 PM Update

The first radar image is a wide shot at 9:00 PM and the second shot is a close up of Jonesboro at 9:00 PM. The freezing rain is about to greatly increase in the city of Jonesboro. We are still sitting at 31 degrees and this rain will start picking up in 15 minutes or so.

Stay off of the roads tonight. Robert Rowland who is a Region 8 Weather Watcher and works for the State Police said that they are seeing an increase in accidents due to slick roads.

More updates to come... This could end up being pretty bad for some folks.

Good Evening Ryan,
I would like to "THANK YOU" for keeping us on top of the Winter Weather. I sure do appreciate you and the rest of the KAIT8 Storm Team members. Just to let you know that my husband and his Uncle made it home around 5:15p.m. this evening. "THANK YOU" so much for your prayers. They were greatly appreciated and GOD did answer my Prayer. They did run into the Ice Storm up in Missouri and they even had Ice on their Truck when they got home. This event isn't looking very good. It is 31 degrees here right now. We went up here in our town and has supper earlier tonight and it was doing something outside then. I think it was mostly a mist at the time, but when we left the house to go eat, it was 32 degrees. I ready your previous post and checked out the picture, and WOW, that is alot of Hail there. That is all we need on top of some Ice. Take care my friend and have a great evening. Drive safe going home from work tonight. May God Bless You and Yours.

I'm so used to coming to see family in Jonesboro during the Summer and it being in the upper 90s and even over 100ยบ. The irony of the situation is that you guys have received more winter weather that I have in Nashville where I live this winter. Ice isn't fun but at least you guys will get to stay home from school and work (except Ryan). We haven't gotten an ice or snowstorm yet this winter.
