Friday, 11:00 PM

Below is the radar image at 11:00 PM this evening. Thunderstorms have developed in our western counties and are moving northeast. Some heavier storms are coming out of Oklahoma into Arkansas.
Below is a closer inspection of the storm moving through Stone County. Radar indicates that there could be some small hail in this storm at 11:00 PM.Because of these storms, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a new Mesoscale Discussion. You can read it by clicking here. As you can see, they are considering a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for a good part of Region 8. We'll see what happens... I'm here at the station watching the storms come in...

Before I sign off of here, take a look at this storm near El Dorado, AR. Radar indicated 3" hail and numerous reports of golf-ball size hail came in with this storm! The black area is the hail core of the storm. South Arkansas has been getting pounded!
Lastly, the Georgia Dome was hit by a bad storm in Atlanta. I may try to post more on that later.
Take care,
Ryan
