Great Weekend

My dad came to town this weekend. We had a great time, but I wish he could have stayed a little longer. My wife, dad, and boys went out to the GCT came on Friday night. I was shooting the game for "FFN", so I only got to sit with them for a minute or so. Pops drove his Vette to our house for the first time. The boys really liked riding in it and I must admit that driving it was a blast. If you have never read about the Corvette Z06, you need to check it out! Google it.

On Saturday morning, we had our 5th soccer game of the season. I don't think I mentioned it before... but I'm coaching this year! I'm very proud of the boys on my team. They have really stepped up over the past few weeks. On Saturday, they were hustling! They aren't scared of the ball anymore. They are more inclined to "go" for the ball and score. We don't keep score at their age, but the dad's keep a running score in their head. I'm pretty sure we won on Saturday.
My boys are going to be on seperate teams next year. I'm not sure which team I will coach. I may not coach at all. Who knows....

Anywho, after two weeks of running around like a chicken with my head cut off... things are calming down. I have a lot to write about in the blog and finally it appears that I will have time to post this week!

One last note.... If you remember, the series "Storm Chasers" will be on the Discovery Channel tonight. I think it starts at 9:00 PM. It should be REALLY cool this year. Heidi Farrar works along side with these guys... She may be able to give us some more information in the comments section.

Take care,
Ryan

Aw, no "under the hood" shot of the Z06?! - 7.0 liter V8? Does it come with a heavy towing package? ;-)

Reed should be updating his blog in preparation for tonight's season premier of Storm Chasers. It's going to be pretty intense! We're very curious to see how (and what) footage is going to be used, and in what context. Until then, we're counting down the hours! (It is on at 9:00 PM central :-)

I've coached my kids soccer team for two years. I know all about that 'running total' in your head, all the while telling the kids we don't keep score.

Its a blast!
