Arctic Blast This Week

A lot of folks have asked me about the chance of snow this week. While we may see a little bit of wintry mix (tonight) Monday night, it does not appear to be a big deal for us in Region 8. The below image is the projected snowfall over the next 120 hours from the GFS model. While most of the snow will stay away, the cold air IS COMING IN! Thursday night looks to be the coldest night so far this season. I fully expected some places to go into the single digits. The below image is the GFS model for daybreak on Friday. Look at the legend and you can see the most of Region 8 will be between 8-12 degrees! Look at Wisconsin where it will be about -10 or -15!!! Get ready...
Stay warm this week!
Ryan
