Severe Weather Update

Good morning everyone. We have some rain out there now and we are still expecting some strong storms later today. The greatest risk will be in the western counties and an even greater risk will be outside of Region 8. We will be streaming video from the Wood Ford StormTRACKER today, but we will not chase at night. We may storm"follow" (as I call it), which is following behind a storm to look for signs of damage. We'll make that call later today.

In the meantime, you can watch the Wood Ford StormTRACKER go to GCT to meet with some 5th graders. Don't be surprised to see some kids waving at the camera at some point between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. I may even turn on the audio!

Have a great day,
Ryan

OK I give up. We have had our power go out for several days each on two occasions since the ice storm. I am guessing this may happen again tonight with the storms, so today I went out to Barton's and bought a weather radio. I may lose power and not be able to hear your broadcast, but the weather radio is now set and loaded with back up batteries.
