Hail Pictures From Jackson County

Here are some pictures from the hail storm from this morning taken by Daniel Banks. If you look at my earlier posts, you can see this storm from a 3D radar perspective.

As you can see from image above , the hail was quarter-size. It covered the roads and made them slick as if it were a winter storm! Here are some skid marks from an SUV that slid off the road on Hwy 367.

The Explorer ended up in some water and thankfully the driver was not hurt. If I'm not mistaken, is that some fire on top of the water.... (EDIT- That's a headlight and not fire... got an email from Daniel)
The storms have now moved out of Region 8.

That hail does look like sleet from a Winter Storm. It must have been alot to make the roads slick like that. I'm just glad that no one was seriously hurt or killed. It sure has been on the windy side here in Caraway today. We did get thunder and some rain earlier this morning. Have a great weekend. Sorry the soccer game was cancelled, but maybe it was for the best.
