Guest Blogging From TN

Hi everybody.  This is Ryan's sister in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  He asked me to make a post about the tornado that passed just south of my home about two hours ago.   We were on the phone with each other as it was passing through, and I actually saw the tornado form live on the local cable traffic camera channel.  It was so scary.  I am so glad that my own personal weatherman was on the line telling me that he was monitoring the radar, and that my particular neighborhood was not in that monster's path.

What amazed me the most was how fast it grew as the tip touched ground and widened to a reported half-mile wide.  The local channels are still tracking the storms, so the news is still sketchy, but I have heard that there have been two deaths and nine injuries reported.  Please keep everyone touched by today's storms in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm sure that Ryan will post video of what I saw as soon as it is made available. He had to go to a pancake eating contest.  I know everyone wants to see video of that, too.  I hope he wasn't late due to talking his sister through the storm. Thanks for looking out for me, bro!

Jenn, I'm so glad you're okay and the tornado missed you! I thought about you when I heard that Murfreesboro and Nashville were under the gun. We were blessed here too that it wasn't too severe when the system blew through our area.

Love and hugs,

Diane J. in Bay, AR
