Small Hail Possible Thursday

I'm growing more concerned about the chance of small hail on Thursday afternoon and evening. As we have mentioned before, CAPE is a measurement of the energy available for storms to form. This first map shows that we will have some decent CAPE across Region 8 at 5PM. It's not much, but I believe it is enough to get some storms to develop:

This next map shows the "simulated" radar at 5PM. Don't take it literal on the placement of storms, but rather the amount of coverage and intensity. While it does not appear to be a washout, the storms that do develop could pack a little bit of a punch:


Finally, this is a map that I have grown to like a lot. It shows the simulated infrared satellite for tomorrow at 5PM. These storms should be building up high enough to produce some small hail. The freezing line aloft will be relatively low:
