I'm Not Feeling It...

I have said it to the newsroom a few times, but I'm just not feeling it. I don't think that Jonesboro is going to get that much snow. We said at 5:00 and 6:00 that Jonesboro's accumulation may not be much. I'm still thinking it will be 1-2" at best. If we stay above 32 degrees, Jonesboro may not see anything.

I'm sticking to my forecast of the "sweet spot" being around Fulton County to Sharp County where 5-7" could fall. Randolph may get some good snow too. Other areas will see lighter amounts.
The forecast is bound to change!
Stay tuned,

Ryan

Ryan, I recall us "Randolph County" being under 3 Heavy Snow Warnings the last 8-10 years....guess what? We never seen an inch each of those 3 times.LOL I got mad when they put us under that warning...ANYTHING BUT THAT ! :-) We won't see nothing now.

What are your thoughts on school closings in jonesboro?

We'll have to watch and see about schools. I believe there will be some closings, but I'm not sure about Jonesboro yet...

What about snow accumulation in Paragould? We have an extremely excited 5 year old little guy. Mom and Dad are praying for atleast enough to get the sled out.

Paragould will be a tough call too. We may get so much sleet mixed in that the accumulations will be cut down a little. 1-3" of a snow and sleet mix is possible. It should not be an all snow event...

Ryan, I live close to Pocahontas about 3-5 miles west in between Pocahontas and Imboden. Based on your good weather forcast skills... how much snow do you suppose we will get in Randolph county. I have looked at NOAA and they have been saying that they are still watching to see? :)

looking at the radar, it seems that some sleet/snow is moving in now from the west. what about the weather from jonesboro to west memphis in the morning at 6:30 and back after school??

Why is the weather service so excited about the potential of the system, while nobody else seems to be?
