Storm Pictures

I just want to make sure everyone knows that I was standing on a bridge -- a "real" one, not a "low-water" one -- when I took the second photo up there. The water was about 8" from the bridge surface at that time. Those roaring rapids usually is a calf-deep, narrow "branch."

People are making very foolish decisions about driving into these places. It's crazy! We have a lot of road erosion up here now as a result of the flooding, and spots where the water is still going across the road might in fact have a deep "gorge" somewhere under water. Very dangerous!

... and now it's SLEETING! (I'm calling it sleet, not graupel.)
