11:30 AM Update

Click this image to enlarge it. This is a map with the current conditions plotted from regional surface observation sites. There are a couple of things to note here. First off, it's still fairly cool in Region 8 and the warm front is still south of us. However, the warmer air is surging northward. If you look at each data cluster, the "temperature" is the top number and the dewpoint is the bottom number in Fahrenheit.
If you notice, we already have 70 degrees being reported in Monticello and other areas in the 60s. Look at all of the 70s in TX... They are about to see the severe weather blossom and will likely be under a Tornado Watch soon. The SPC just issued a Mesoscale Discussion regarding that area. You can read it by clicking here.
Stay tuned,
Ryan
PS- It would be awesome if the air does not get too unstable and we dodge this threat! I'm still thinking that it will get nasty later today and this evening though...

The water vapor image looks pretty interesting right now, too. Looks like there will be plenty of time for the warm stuff to get here ahead of the cold front. :/

Oh, and yesterday I ate about 9 cupcakes for your birthday. Aren't I swell?? ;)

Good Afternoon Ryan,
I am hoping and praying it doesn't become severe here this afternoon and tonight. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOD BLESS YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU"!!!! I hope you don't have to do alot of work this evening for severe weather. It is still raining some here in Caraway and it's 54 degrees right now. Take care my friend and have a great afternoon. I'll be staying with you and KAIT8 for the lastest weather updates. May God Bless You and Yours.
