I Can't Stand Wasps!!!

For the past couple of days, I have seen wasps everywhere! I guess they like the 80+ degree weather, too! While I was at the Allergy Clinic today getting my shot, I asked him about wasps and the reactions that some people have to the stings. We chatted for a little bit about some things I'm going to share on-air tonight and he also gave me this link. On that page, you can read all about insect stings. Our biggest problem in Region 8 right now are wasps! Watch out for them!

I can't stand them either. They scare me to death! And you are right, they are terrible right now. I am anxious to hear what you have to say about wasp and allergies. Wasp and allergies in one sentence...SCARY!!!!

Ryan, we go through probably a dozen cans of wasp-spray per season up here, maybe even more. I really should keep track this year. Rick has literally made spraying them into a form of warm-weather recreation. I am pretty sure he's obesessed. He just got a new can and was out there over the weekend, patroling the back-porch perimeter. We also have fly-swatters positioned strategically at three spots in the house for when they get inside. I just got after one this morning. ... I should probably not even get started on the mess the "mud-dobbers" make!

Wasp, and Honeybees don't bother me near as much as Jackets, Hornets, and Bubblebees. I hate Hornets. Those things are big , and the sting is VERY painful.

We just moved this past weekend and were attacked by wasps! It seems they are enjoying the weather and the fresh greenery brought by all the water.
