Yesterday when I was in Highland, a lady mentioned some heavy damage from Thursday's storms near Williford. At the time, we had not had any confirmed tornadoes in Region 8 from last Thursday.
She described the damage and it sounded credible, so I told her to contact the National Weather Service in Little Rock to confirm the damage.
Late today, John Robinson and Renee Fair surveyed the damage and confirmed that an EF 1 tornado DID touch down last Thursday. In case you missed this "breaking weather news" at 10:00... Here's the Public Information Statement:

...A TORNADO WAS IDENTIFIED IN SHARP COUNTY FROM A STORM ON THURSDAY...APRIL 10TH. THE STARTING POINT WAS 1.8 MILES NORTHEAST OF WILLIFORD...AND ENDED 3.2 MILES NORTHEAST OF WILLIFORD. THE PATH LENGTH WAS 1.4 MILES...AND WAS RATED AS EF1 ON THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE.DAMAGE CONSISTS OF THE DESTRUCTION OF A SHED AND A CAMPING TRAILER.
