Tornado Confirmed From Last Thursday

Yesterday when I was in Highland, a lady mentioned some heavy damage from Thursday's storms near Williford. At the time, we had not had any confirmed tornadoes in Region 8 from last Thursday.

She described the damage and it sounded credible, so I told her to contact the National Weather Service in Little Rock to confirm the damage.

Late today, John Robinson and Renee Fair surveyed the damage and confirmed that an EF 1 tornado DID touch down last Thursday. In case you missed this "breaking weather news" at 10:00... Here's the Public Information Statement:

That is interesting. Makes me think that the "large lowering" I emailed you & Chris about at 4am that morning may well have been a wall cloud afterall. I'm still just glad that Region-8 escaped that day with only an EF-1!
