Brian Teigland of WPTY has died. The television station has not reported the cause of his death, but say that he died in his home early this morning. You can click here to read the full story from our sister-station in WMC.
I met Brian a couple of times at meetings and conferences and he always seemed like a good guy. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and employees at ABC 24.
Here's a funny clip from Brian one night on WPTY. He was got chuckled during his "weather tease" and got mixed up on which weather segment he was doing. He started thinking it was his "main" weather segment. The producer's voice was edited into this clip to help you know what was going on. The voice you hear is what Brian was hearing in his earpiece. It's called the IFB. Anchors and reporters communicate with the producers and director's through the IFB. Enjoy the clip.
