Goof Ball Of The Storm

I'm still watching the Hurricane Gustav coverage before I head to work and I saw this goof ball. Why in the world would you walk up to a levee that is being overtopped by water? Didn't these levees break three years ago!!!

Give this man an award for being the "Idiot of the Year"!

PS- I just found out that it was Geraldo Rivera... I'm not shocked.

I saw this to today, that was pretty stupid!!! Tell your friends in Fl. not to make us Arkansans look bad down there! The red flags are out and that means stay out of the water. Wouldn't want them to catch a rip current!!

I almost fell in the floor laughing! Everytime he comes one during a hurricane my parents and I die laughing. The world is always coming to an end when he reports.

I saw a guy from ABC doing the same thing. I'm sure Geraldo's commentary had to have been far more riveting, though! I'd like to know what the plan was if something should, uh, go wrong? I'm sure they had a really, really good one. Really.

The best part was when he cursed on air and was freaking out over 'a person in the water!' when it just turned out to be someone from the Army Corps of Engineers checking the levee :)

Ryan - See the post on AlabamaWx.com's blog with an article from the Washington Post on how overhyped the hurricane coverage has gotten... I know you are aware of it and even have some rationale for it being in the industry. Still funny to read.
