Mena, AR has been hit by a tornado! State Police has reported extensive damage in downtown Mena and a large gas line has been broken.The images above show the tornado hitting Mena. The first image is a volume rendering of the rotation. The second image is the velocity. Green indicates winds coming toward the radar and red shows the winds going away from the radar.

Makes me sick. :-/ Was watching it as a 121 knt TVS went right over the town.
1st tornado of the year for Arkansas.
Isn't Mena where Chris Castleman is from? I sure hope him and his family are okay.
