Accidental Tornado Siren Blast

Apparently the tornado sirens in Bay, AR just blasted on accident. We received phone calls from residents saying they were blowing, but when I called the Bay Police Department, they said it was an accident. They said that the lightning must have hit the system and sounded them.

I'm sure the residents that just took cover for no reason aren't too happy about that right now. My gut feeling tells me that we may hear more about the 2:30 AM Accidental Tornado Siren in Bay.... Stay tuned.

I'm passing the torch to Justin shortly. He'll be in call for the rest of the night.

Take care,
Ryan

This makes twice in less than two that "lightening" was the cause of the sirens going off in the middle of the night.

Good Early Morning Ryan,
Wow, I bet the residents of Bay was scared for a while there. I know I would have been. I'm just glad there was no tornado around. Just wanted to let you know that my husband checked our rain gages Saturday afternoon and our small one said 3 and 3/4 inches of rain and our big one said 3 inches of rain. But I do declare I think they are both wrong because we got out and drove around town here in Caraway and water was everywhere. Even some of the streets were still under water. Have a great Sunday and "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" to your wonderful wife. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you.
