Snow In The Ozarks

Here's a video clip that Heidi Farrar sent from Franklin, AR. As you can see, it is sticking and they had some fat flakes of snow falling! She also sent a couple of pictures and wanted everyone to know that it was not a good day to leave your clothes out to dry! LOL

Before I go, I must admit.... There's more snow falling out there than what I thought last night. I should have stuck to my forecast from a couple of days ago!

Have a great night and be careful if you are driving into the hills and mountains.

Good Evening Ryan,
Boy, that Snow sure looks pretty. I'm jealous now. Wish I lived up there in them thar hills where Heidi lives. But, I would hate to be the one to put those socks on. LOL. Santa should have taken them back to the North Pole with him. LOL. Heidi did a great job in taking some beautiful pictures. Thanks Heidi for sharing them with us. Some folks down here in the Southern parts can't get as lucky.

To satisfy the curious masses, I will now reveal the identity of large bovine creature visible on the left-hand side of the opening seconds of the video clip: It is in fact Walt the Bull. His owners (our neighbors) will now be made proud.

Those socks, by contrast, are not so proud to have been exposed in such a manner. Our laundry has been exposed to all forms of wrong weather this year... sigh.

In closing, it is now a quarter past nine and the snow is still there. It's a little hard to tell, but I think we picked up close to an inch, and it is the best-possible kind of snowball snow. :D

Heidi, you can stop bragging about the snow already! ;-)

Ryan, I went duck hunting yesterday. I have never in my life seen so many ducks as there are this year up here. I bet we seen over a thousand ducks in about 4 hours of hunting. They are everywhere! It was like World War 3had broke out in the Black River Bottoms. You need to get your duck hunting buddys,a jon boat, and get up here. It is amazing.
