Your Report On Storm TRACK Doppler 8

We're going to be testing something new in the Storm Center. Our weather partner, Weather Central, has launched a new way to report the weather from your neighborhood. You can post severe weather reports, rainfall totals, snow totals, and pretty much anything weatherwise.

Click on the link on the right side of my page to register and to post a report. I'm anxious to see how many rainfall reports we get over the next 24 hours! You can also post images and even movies of the rain falling!

These reports are plotted straight to our radar for us to show. The above image was from our last rain event. Region 8 Weather Watcher Robert Rowland tested it for me. Email you thoughts and questions to me at rvaughan@kait8.com

This will not take the place of our Region 8 Weather Watcher program. We will continue to have our designated weather watchers.

Also... I am going to write more about this later, but you can check it out for yourself:

Region 8 weather watcher, Andrew Sloan, has his own SkyCam in College City!

Take care,
Ryan

Awesome. The more people involved the better in my book. Should have some nice rain totals to report the next 24 hours, and hopefully some snow totals sometime soon !
