Sleet at 50 degrees? What's Happening?

First off, the sleet that is being reported in the area is short-lived and has nothing to do with Sunday's storm system. I have two video posted here. The first video explains WHY we have some brief sleet at the start of the rain and the second video is last night's newscast mentioning this possibilty... mianly because a buddy of mine says that I did not mention it!
